RootCascade was born from a 3am incident at a fintech startup. Our founders, James and Priya, spent hours tracing a cascading failure through dozens of microservices, piecing together logs, metrics, and deployment histories to find the root cause.
When the dust settled, they realised they'd spent more time on investigation busywork than actually fixing the problem. And when it came time to write the postmortem, half the context had already been lost.
They started building RootCascade to solve their own problem—and quickly discovered that every engineering team they talked to had the same frustrations. In 2022, they left their jobs to focus on RootCascade full-time.
Today, we're a team of 12 engineers, designers, and operators building incident response tools that actually work the way engineers think. We're backed by Seedcamp and Hoxton Ventures, and we're just getting started.
